New Executive Order - Is This Big Brother or What?

There's a new Executive Order, signed on the 16th.  Here's the link to the text :

In amidst all the legalese and milspeak, what I think it's saying is that the President can now appropriate or control anything he wants to for purposes of "national defense preparedness", in other words, he can make any factory produce widgets for the government first before any other widget orders that might have come in first, and he can control all food, water, transportation of anything or anyone, farm implements, fertilizer, etc. etc.  Power over these things is delegated to various Secretaries of Whatever.  So basically if this goes to its illogical conclusion, you won't be able to eat, drink, go anywhere or even probably take a shit without the military in your face.

What are they expecting, with all these new laws and regulations?  Why the total lockdown?

Why, indeed?
Could it be.... SATAN? (I know, I know, I keep quoting the Church Lady, but it's appropriate)

In other news, I'm planting my garden.

Now even more than ever, it's important to have a garden, and to know plants that are edible but that not a lot of other people know are edible.  And to have a way to get meat.  Figure out also how you will get things done when they're pulling over all the cars all the time and searching people at random on the street.  Figure out how you'll heat your home when oil goes to $500 a barrel.  (Hint: ROCKET STOVE, heats your house on a handful of sticks)

If you can't get fertilizer for your garden, fertilizer is easy: Just save your pee and dilute it, then use it to water your garden.  Use it fresh, though.

And keep in mind, if this lockdown happens, your neighbor may not be your friend.  Remember the "Tyranny of the Nice"?  Remember the Stasi, where most of their investigations were because of jealous neighbors ratting on each other?  Yeah.  It might get like that.  I hope not.  I mean, we've had a lot of other Executive Orders that have just sat around on the books for years, like Rex 84, waiting for something to happen, like WW3 or some kind of financial meltdown...
